Privacy policy

Last updated: 26 September 2026

This English version is provided for convenience. Only the French version is legally binding; in the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

1. Who we are

Signal Clair is a service published by Arnaud Favre, sole trader (micro-entrepreneur, SIRET: 815 202 080 00074), whose registered address is 6 route du Peuil, 38640 Claix, France. For any question about this policy or your personal data, you can write to us via our contact form.

2. What data we collect

  • Account data: email address and, if you log in with Google, your name and profile picture as provided by Google.
  • Connection data: login dates, IP address, and technical information needed for the service to work properly and securely.
  • Payment data: payments are processed directly by Stripe, our payment provider. We never store your card number on our servers.
  • Contact messages: name, email and message content if you write to us via the contact form, as well as a non-reversible fingerprint of your IP address used only to block abusive submissions.
  • Usage data: the reports you order (requested asset, order history) so that you can access your history.
  • Audience measurement (only if you accept it in the cookie banner): pages viewed, where visits come from, device type and approximate country, collected by Google Analytics in statistical form.

3. Why we use this data

  • To create and secure your account and let you log in (magic link by email or Google).
  • To process your orders and payments, and generate and deliver your reports.
  • To send you the emails the service requires (login link, order confirmation).
  • To keep the service secure and prevent fraudulent use.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations (keeping invoices).

This processing is based on the performance of the contract between us (providing the service), on our legal obligations, or on our legitimate interest in securing the service.

4. Who we share this data with

We never sell your data. It is shared only with the providers needed to run the service, each acting under its own privacy terms:

  • Stripe (online payment).
  • Brevo (sending transactional emails, including the login link).
  • Google (login with a Google account, if you choose this option).
  • Contabo, our host, which hosts the server the service runs on.
  • Google Analytics (audience measurement, only with your consent).

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union; in that case, they are contractually bound to ensure a level of protection equivalent to the GDPR (European Commission standard contractual clauses).

5. How long we keep this data

Your account data is kept for as long as your account is active. Billing data is kept for 10 years in accordance with our legal accounting obligations. You can ask for your account and personal data to be deleted at any time, subject to legal retention obligations. Messages sent via the contact form are deleted after 12 months.

6. Cookies

We use two categories of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: keeping you logged in and remembering your cookie choice. They do not require your consent.
  • Audience measurement cookies (Google Analytics): they are only set if you click "Accept" in the banner. They tell us which pages are read and where visits come from. Google's advertising features are disabled and your data is never sold. These cookies are kept for 13 months at most.

Your choice is kept for 6 months, after which the banner asks again. You can change it at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. If you decline, no Google script is loaded and the site works exactly the same way.

7. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your personal data. You can exercise these rights by writing to us via our contact form. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

8. Security

We use reasonable technical measures (encrypted HTTPS connection, passwordless login via magic link or Google) to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the service or to regulations. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
